Sustainability 2009: The Next Horizon

The Florida Institute of Technology will be hosting Sustainability 2009:  The Next Horizon, March 3-4.  This is an international interdisciplinary conference, which will focus on solutions to emerging sustainability issues.  Designed to attract a varied audience, this conference was born of a partnership between Florida Institute of Technology and Budapest University of Technology & Economics in 2001.

Some of the the topics that will be covered:

-  Sustainable Tourism

-  Climate Change & Adaptation

-  Climate Risks: Hurricanes & Lightning

-  Sustainable & Resilient Communities

-  Renewable Energy

-  Sustainable Technologies & Innovation

Presenters include faculty from Florida Tech and other leading academic research institutions, NGO representatives, regional planners, and political leaders.
