Tampa, Welcome to the Gold Club

Since it was established in 2004 the Florida Green Building Coalition has awarded certification to only 10 cities and counties in Florida. You can add Tampa to that list, as they received their gold certification in January.
After the Florida Legislature passed an energy bill endorsing Florida Green Building Coalition’s certification, Tampa undertook an effort to make their city more sustainable. This includes Eco-friendly construction, more hybrid government vehicles, building permit rebates (for green buildings) and much more.
Congratulations Tampa for achieve gold certification. But as any rapper will tell you the only thing better than gold is platinum. Keep up the good fight.
