Ziplines aren’t just for ninjas and American Gladiator any more. Florida Eco Safaris of Forever Florida has opened the first truly ecotourism attraction in central Florida. Florida Eco Safaris, best known for their Coach Safaris that cover the 4700 acre Forever Florida wildlife conservation area, has introduced the Zipline Safari taking guests on a treetop nature tour like none other reaching heights of 55 feet and speeds up to 20 mph. The Coach and Horseback Safaris cut through the conservation which boasts a variety of flowers, alligators, black bears and a whole lot of birds…a whole lot. Giving visitors a look at an untouched piece of Florida.
The Zipline Safari is a two and a half hour adventure through this area. It begins with a short hike along a the Florida Trail. Along with an expert guide, visitors will zip from platform to platform enjoying a overhead view of the wildlife below. Also included are two sky-bridges passing over an area of forested wetland.
The ticket price for this nearly three hour adventure is $85, but 30% of tour revenues go back to running and maintaining the conservation of Forever Florida. This is a great way to see the wildlife in one of the most bio diverse areas in the United States. Not that we don’t love Disney and Sea World, but it’s always fun to disrupt your usual vacation routine. Also, its much easier to make fun of alligators from above than on land (their skin isn’t as thick as some would lead you to believe).

Ever had one of those days?
